Transcript (Redacted)
Rebekah: I don’t want you here. Please leave soon. It’s over this time.
Rebekah: So sorry. We are done done.
Rebekah: I cannot be with you.
Kyle: No shit.
Kyle: Crazy.
Rebekah: You have a lot of life that is being tied up. You can work on that. I don’t want a single thing from you.
Rebekah: Nothing you say will upset me.
Kyle: You freaked [CHILD A] out to the point it’s just sad.
Rebekah: So talk about whatever you wanted.
Rebekah: No I didn’t.
Rebekah: lol
Rebekah: You’re being abusive again, Kyle. Want me to show this to the judge?
Kyle: Not to be laughed at.
Rebekah: Stop.
Rebekah: You need to leave this apartment and I’m not helping you.
Rebekah: Stop talking to me.
Kyle: You punched me in front of [CHILD A].
Rebekah: What!
Rebekah: Dude, you are nutso.
Kyle: And he is sickened by it.
Rebekah: Please stop talking to me.
Rebekah: You need to respect my boundaries.
Rebekah: And you need to move out.
Kyle: Stay away from me.
Rebekah: I do not feel safe here with you.
Rebekah: No, you get out of my apartment, weirdo.
Rebekah: Hey, you’re never borrowing my car again. We are over. You need to go and do your yoga thing by bus. We’re done, Kyle.
Rebekah: So say what you want.
Rebekah: I’m moving out of here in Jan or Feb.
Rebekah: You should leave soon or your children could end up homeless again.
Kyle: The kids know what you are.
Rebekah: Thank you!!
Rebekah: Namaste.
Kyle: And you laugh at them.
Rebekah: Appreciate the compliment.
Rebekah: Have you ever told the truth?
Kyle: They are scared of you.
Rebekah: No.
Kyle: And they fear to be in the room with you.
Kyle: Because of your instability and anger.
Rebekah: Sure lol [CHILD B] is right here.
Rebekah: Loser. Goodnight. Leave me alone.
Kyle: You’re sick.
Rebekah: What!
Kyle: Sick.
Rebekah: Because I don’t want to be with you?
Rebekah: I think you’re sick for not doing anything to contribute to the household in two whole years.
Kyle: Like too much Adderall and weed because you are insufferable.
Rebekah: Hey. Lol, that’s crazy.
Rebekah: Be quiet.
Kyle: You.
Kyle: Be quiet.
Rebekah: I do not want to stay with you. I do not want to be married to you, and I want you to leave as soon as you can like you said you would, since you don’t pay anything around here. I cannot afford to keep you.
Kyle: Laughing at the hurt you cause.
Kyle: Sick.
Rebekah: What.
Kyle: Gross.
Rebekah: Okay.
Rebekah: I’m gross.
Rebekah: I kind of knew that already by all the times you’ve cheated on me.
Rebekah: I’m used to it.
Rebekah: Ty.
Kyle: Just mean and gross.
Kyle: I can’t believe you flip like that.
Rebekah: I think the same of you. I think you’re abusive and you’ve been using me for two years, and you’re hurting us, and you wouldn’t change, and you won’t leave.
Rebekah: Bye.
Kyle: [CHILD A] cries himself to sleep because his mom is crazy.
Rebekah: There’s literally nothing to talk about with you. I’m going to block your number now because I don’t think we should even talk anymore. I think we’re pretty much done.
Kyle: Because you think it’s within your rights to punch people.
Rebekah: Is that the only thing you can say to me to try to even penetrate my feelings? Because you know what, you’ve already done so much damage to me, this cannot possibly do much more.
Rebekah: You can do better then, since I’m so gross.
Rebekah: And since I’m so gross working 55 hours a week here in this apartment to take care of the rent and all the bills, you should leave because I’m disgusted.
Kyle: No chance. Sick, mean, and gross.
Rebekah: Hey Kyle, I blocked you so I won’t be hearing anything else you have to say to me.
Rebekah: We are done done.
Rebekah: [CHILD A] will never have to see us fight.
Rebekah: Because we are no more, so sorry.
Rebekah: I have my opinions about you and you have your opinions about me and that’s the way it’s going to be.
Rebekah: (Contact card shown — details redacted)
Rebekah: See blocked, because I can’t take your abuse anymore.
Rebekah: What kind of man sits on all that money for all that time when he could’ve been fighting for it for the family he pretended to love.
Kyle: Too much Adderall … because you are …
Rebekah: You abused me and I need us to be separated as soon as possible, and then divorced. You have already cost me so much, including two of my children who don’t want to be around you.

Email Body (Transcribed, Redacted)
Hi Kyle,
To keep things manageable in the short term, I want to establish some guidelines for our shared space. These are designed to maintain a peaceful environment while I’m running the daycare and to help us both move forward with next steps.
Food Boundaries: I’ll be managing my own food and supplies separately, so I ask that you please use only your own food items. If it’s convenient, feel free to keep your groceries in your room to avoid any misunderstandings.
Cleaning Up Shared Spaces: Since I need to keep a clean and organized environment for the daycare, I ask that you clean up after yourself, especially in the kitchen and other shared areas.
Respecting Personal Space: To help keep things comfortable for both of us, let’s aim to keep interactions minimal in shared spaces. This will make our daily routines smoother and more manageable.
Avoiding Interaction with Daycare Children: For consistency and professionalism, I ask that you please avoid interacting with the children during daycare hours.
I also want to let you know that I’ll be filing for legal separation next week. My goals in this process include:
Establishing Clear Boundaries and Terms: I’ll be requesting specific terms regarding living arrangements, particularly exclusive use of the home to create stability not only for the daycare, myself, and the children here.
Formalizing Financial Responsibilities: Given limited funds, I can’t cover any of your personal expenses, including your phone bill, effective immediately. After paying household bills and daycare expenses, there is no remaining budget for additional support.
Access to Mediation for Transition Planning: As part of the court process, I’ll be requesting mediation to help us develop a clear transition plan.
Requesting Temporary Orders: I’ll also be requesting temporary orders to formalize these boundaries, aiming to establish a stable home and work environment during the transition.
Setting Timeline for Separation: Finally, by initiating the legal process, I’ll be establishing a timeline to help us both move toward a separate living arrangement.
Thank you for helping make this transition as smooth as possible.
Rebekah

Letter Text (Transcribed)
Dear Rebekah
I want start by telling how much you mean to me. You’ve given me the greatest gifts I could ask for - our children and the love we’ve shared. I know that things have been difficult between us, but my love for you remains strong. I’m writing you because I want to be honest about my feelings and share my hopes for us.
I want to hold your hand again and feel the connection we once had. I want to be the provider you deserve - a partner who supports, uplifts, and brings stability to your life. You have given so much to me and our family, and I know I haven’t always been the man you needed me to be. For that I am truly sorry.
I’m committed to doing the work to grow with stable employment and therapy meetings or anything that will make me stronger for you and our family. I want to bring harmony and balance back to your life, to ease your burdens and share in the joys of life together. I know it won’t be easy but I am ready to take the steps needed to rebuild what we lost.
You’ve given me so much, and now it’s my turn to give back to you. I want us to rediscover the love and partnership that we use to share. No matter what, I want you to know that I love you deeply,- and I am committed to being a support for you and the family.
With all my love, Kyle
