Context
This transcript preserves messages exchanged between Kyle Morgan and me on April 23, 2016.
The conversation is primarily ordinary family communication. It includes coordinating food and plans, discussing the children, arranging for me to take the children with me so Kyle could have time to rest, affectionate communication between us, and later concern about one of the children following an incident at baseball.
The record is important because it preserves ordinary relationship and parenting context immediately before the much more hostile communications of April 26 through April 28.
During the evening, after I had taken the children to dinner and then to Chuck E. Cheese and sent three photographs from the outing, Kyle wrote:
“Those boys have an awesome mom.”
The public transcript preserves the message timestamps and attachment filenames from the Apple Messages/iChat record. Names and identifying information belonging to minors and third parties have been redacted from the publication copy.

Earlier That Day
That afternoon, I asked Kyle whether I should take the children with me when I went to visit a third party whose name has been redacted from the public copy.
Later, I told him:
Me: “When I get there I'm taking the kiddos with me!!”
Me: “So you can have a break!!”
Me: “And rest!!”
Kyle responded positively and said the children would enjoy the visit.
The exchange documents an ordinary caregiving decision. I was taking responsibility for the children while also intentionally creating time for Kyle to have a break and rest.
Dinner and an Evening Out With the Children
At 7:36 PM, I told Kyle I was leaving the location associated with the redacted third party.
Me: “Going to take the kids for some dinner”
Kyle: “Aight”
Kyle: “I love you”
Me: “I love you back”
A little later, I shared my location and told him we were at Chuck E. Cheese.
The transcript preserves my wording as:
Me: “At Chuck E. Cheese!!”
Me: “So the kids can be a kids!!”
Kyle responded:
Kyle: “Holy shit lol”
Then:
Kyle: “That's cool”
I wrote:
Me: “Putting the u back in fun!!”
Kyle answered:
Kyle: “I bet they're thrilled”
Kyle: “You sure are”
Me: “That's how I roll!!”
The Photographs
Three photographs were sent from the outing.

Third original photograph sent by me during the children's outing. Kyle's next message, 22 seconds later, was, “Those boys have an awesome mom.”
At 8:39:29 PM, Kyle responded:
Kyle: “Those boys have an awesome mom”
I answered:
Me: “:) I'm working on it!”
Kyle then wrote:
Kyle: “I'm gonna have to up my game in order to still be the fun parent”
Concern About Baseball
Later that evening, I asked Kyle whether anyone had spoken to him about what had happened after one of the children left baseball.
The child's identifying information is redacted from the public transcript.
I was concerned that nobody had reached out to ask whether the child was okay.
I wrote:
Me: “Don't you think that's shotty that nobody reached out to us and ask if [REDACTED - MINOR'S INFORMATION] was okay?”
Kyle: “Yes”
Kyle: “I thought about that too”
I then began thinking about another activity for the child:
Me: “I am going to have to replace his baseball with something else for him to do!!”
Kyle suggested something that could provide focus and eventually suggested art.
I responded:
Me: “Maybe!!”
Me: “I'll look into it.”
I also made clear that I was not making an immediate permanent decision:
Me: “I don't think we need to quit baseball forever!”
Me: “I don't know.”
Me: “I am going to sleep on it!!”
Kyle then wrote:
Kyle: “I never want him to go through this ever again”
I answered:
Me: “No parent does.”
Kyle:
“It makes me sick”
Me:
“Me too.”
The transcript does not establish the complete circumstances of the underlying baseball incident. This archive therefore preserves only what the messages themselves show: both parents expressing concern about the child's experience and discussing what to do next.
Late Evening Check-In
At 10:06 PM, Kyle asked:
Kyle: “Are you okay”
I answered:
Me: “I'm fine”
He then asked where I was.
I told him I was coming home and that I had gone to buy a lighter.
Kyle then sent an image attachment.

Immediately afterward:
Kyle: “Geeze you scared us”
Me: “Sorry”
Retrospective Context: Whereabouts Check-Ins
Throughout the relationship, I routinely told Kyle where I was going, when I was leaving, and when I was on my way home. He frequently kept track of my expected return. At the time, these exchanges felt ordinary to me.
In retrospect, after discovering concealed behavior and infidelity, I came to understand that my predictable check-ins also gave him information about when I would and would not be home.
This entry does not establish that concealment was the purpose of the April 23 questions. It preserves one example of the broader whereabouts-checking pattern.
Analysis
This artifact establishes an important contemporaneous baseline.
It does not document an abusive exchange.
Instead, it preserves ordinary family life and Kyle's own characterization of my parenting only five days before the April 28 conflict.
On April 23, after I had taken responsibility for the children so Kyle could rest, taken them to dinner, taken them somewhere to have fun, and sent photographs from the outing, Kyle wrote:
“Those boys have an awesome mom.”
He then joked that he would have to “up my game” to remain the fun parent.
Five days later, during an escalated argument, Kyle would characterize me as an “ungrateful wife and mother” and accuse me of hating him and the children.
The two statements present a documented contradiction in his characterization of me as a mother.
On April 23, during ordinary family communication:
“Those boys have an awesome mom.”
On April 28, during conflict:
“You are an ungrateful wife and mother.”
The significance is not that either isolated statement establishes everything about my parenting.
The significance is that both statements exist within the same contemporaneous communication record, only days apart, under dramatically different relational circumstances.
The archive preserves both statements and their surrounding context rather than asking the reader to accept either one in isolation.
Archive Note
This artifact is preserved as relationship and parenting context. It should not be characterized as an abusive exchange.
The transcript records a shared-location attachment, Current Location.loc.vcf. I am not displaying that location file publicly.
Names and identifying information belonging to minors and third parties have been redacted from the public copy. The underlying source material is preserved separately.
For website display, sequences of three exclamation points in the source are shown as two exclamation points because the publishing software was rendering the third character incorrectly. This is a display normalization only. The original source retains the original punctuation.
Attachment filenames remain identified in the transcript, while original image files are presented separately where available.
